A collaborative project with rug weaver and dyer, Jacqueline James. The Alchemy of Blue is a handwoven textile art piece in luxurious natural fibres, custom-dyed in woad and indigo - the plants historically used to produce the colour blue for textiles.
The project was funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, generous support from David Walters Fabrics, and kind donations of quality British wool from West Yorkshire Spinners.
Exhibited at Collect Open 2022: the leading international art fair for modern craft and design, organised by the Crafts Council, UK.
A collection of rugs inspired by the textures and geometric patterns of Morocco.
These contemporary rugs are hand-knotted in fine wool and bamboo in India.

Working closely with Six Menswear Creative Director, Tom Leeper, to develop a body of art works for the brand, inspired by Sumi-e, the traditional Japanese black ink painting technique.
